Finding UK Expert Witness web sites

It is a regrettable (though rarely mentioned) fact of Internet life that the vast majority of web sites receive only a very small number of 'hits' - and, consequently, seldom repay the time, money and effort which is invested in setting them up and maintaining them.

Why? Because only a handful of potential clients are aware of the existence of the web site. In a field as specialised and fragmented as the UK expert witness field, the Internet search engines are too blunt a tool to be of anything more than nominal assistance in locating relevant web sites, particular where the identity of a suitable expert witness in a particular field and/or geographical area is not yet known.

The 'Online Directory' has been designed to fill the role of a specialist UK expert witness search engine. One of the company's main objectives in developing the directory has been to provide a facility which will assist 'highly prospective' users of the directory to locate the web sites of individuals and organisations which offer the service which they are seeking. We achieve this objective in two ways :-

(1) the 'expert links' sub-section of this site contains the largest collection of links to UK expert witness sites in existence, either in print or on the web (currently containing over 1,300 links),

(2) the lists of experts which are returned by the search page of the directory 'flag' links to experts' own sites. The practical significance of this is that it is not necessary for an enquirer to spend an inordinate amount of time wading through a large number of directory entries to ascertain which experts within a particular field of expertise display their own web site, or have a page within a 'corporate' site. Those sites can be identified at a glance - and the enquirer can proceed to browse relevant web sites and to obtain more detailed information from them than can be included in a directory entry. No other resource in this field has attempted to address this need.
