Psychiatric medico-legal work on behalf of Claimant or Defendant
- by examining, reviewing evidence, and submitting expert reports,
attending case conferences, and giving oral evidence in Court
during the trial when required. I am a member of the Expert Witness
Institute and a member of the Faculty of Forensic Psychiatrists of
the Royal College of Psychiatrists. I am approved under Section 12
of the Mental Health Act 1983. I am approved under Section 121(2)
of the Mental Health Act 1983 by the Mental Health Act Commission
for the purpose of Part IV of the Mental Health Act 1983, to become
a Second Opinion Appointed Doctor.

I normally reply to instructions within 1 week, with an appointment
within 4 - 6 weeks of receiving the instruction, and submit high
quality, evidence based, objective expert reports within 2 weeks
of examining the Claimant. My fee for medico-legal work is within
the fee recommended by the British Medical Association, and I
expect those who instruct me to settle my fee within one month
of receiving the invoice.
