He was also a full time NHS Consultant Clinical Psychologist until 2005. He receives approximately 50 new instructions a year, and has provided independent reports for over 100 different law firms. He is an Accredited Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapist and is Registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy. He is an expert in the treatment of psychological trauma, and has held academic positions at the Universities of London, Leicester, Keele, and Birmingham. He has consulting rooms at Harley Street in London, and at BUPA and Nuffield Hospitals in the Midlands. Dr Loumidis is listed in the 'Directory of Expert Witnesses' which is maintained by the British Psychological Society, the representative and regulatory body for psychologists in the UK (see link, below).
