Instigated and implemented Project Management systems, to allow effective and uniform estimating, monitoring, control and reporting of several concurrent multi-million dollar construction projects worldwide. Created Project Management control procedures, introduced Project Management software to augment procedures, training, ongoing support and contract management. Significantly reduced cost and schedule overruns in numerous major construction contracts worldwide, resulting in increased construction efficiency and overall project cost savings. 1997 - 1999 : Esso Norge, Stavanger, Norway Head of systems. Evaluation and implementation of upgrades to control systems installed on conversion of FPSO vessels (Floating Production, Storage and Offshore Loading), to ensure compliance with Esso and Norwegian regulations. Eliminated implications of non-compliance to company and statutory requirements, by implementing fast-track detailed design review and associated engineering, procurement and construction rectifications at a very early stage of construction. April 1996 - Aug 1997 : Astilleros Espanoles, Cadiz, Spain Project Engineering Manager, totally responsible for interface between design consultant and oil company. Design and project management. On time approved / certified design package, allowing conversion to proceed according to schedule. Ensured design and procurement complied with client objectives. Promoted from within the same group as previous. 1994 - 97 : Astilleros Espanoles , Cadiz, Spain Engineering Manager. Design and project management. Setting contract philosophies and design parameters, contract award / pre-award negotiations 1990 - 1993 : Maersk Oil & Gas (Denmark) Systems Project Manager, responsible for evaluating and instigating upgrades to safety systems installed on Offshore production facilities.
